Welcome to Daniel Jenkins Academy website. We hope that you find this website to be informative and user-friendly. We are excited to have you and your contributions to our Jaguar family. The middle school journey often presents challenges for students. The rules and procedures that are outlined in our handbook are designed to make your journey easier by encouraging you to develop positive attitudes, positive behaviors, and positive relationships with peers and staff.

As a student at Daniel Jenkins Academy, you will be treated as an individual and held to high expectations. Students are a representative of our school and will be held accountable for their actions and their consequences. Students will also be praised for their accomplishments and contributions. We offer a number of extra-curricular activities, clubs/organizations, and we strongly encourage you to become fully involved during your journey. Students, parents, teachers, staff members, and community members all play a vital role in helping our students reach their greatest potential. Therefore, we extend an invitation for you to become an active member of our school community by joining our School Advisory Council (SAC), Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and becoming a volunteer.

We promote student success here at Daniel Jenkins Academy. Students, staff, and parents all serve as valuable parts of student success in middle school. Our staff is competent, caring, and professional in our job roles. We are dedicated in providing you the best education possible. However, you must do your part as well. The curriculum is rigorous, therefore there is no time for off-task behavior. We want you to work hard to the best of your ability while attending school every day.

OUR MISSION

Daniel Jenkins Academy is a school of choice with emphasis placed on Florida Environmental Studies. We believe that it is necessary that students understand the need to preserve Florida's resources and environment in order for the quality of life to continue in our state.

The mission of Daniel Jenkins Academy is to provide student's high-quality, globally-focused educational opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the 21st Century.

In order to accomplish this mission, the five "R's" provide the framework for academic achievement.
